Formed Between the Mountains follows Israel’s journey from Mount Sinai to Mount Nebo—a journey in which God transforms a rescued people into a people who trust him, obey him, and reflect his character. Israel had been delivered from Egypt, but Egypt was not yet out of Israel. Between the mountains, they faced hunger, uncertainty, failure, conflict, and seasons when God seemed distant. Yet every wilderness experience became an opportunity for formation.

Their story is our story. God does not simply save us from something; he forms us for something. Through trials, provision, his presence, his Word, and even our failures, God shapes us into people who know him and trust him.

As we travel with Israel through the wilderness, we will discover that the places we would rather avoid are often the very places God uses to form us. Between the mountains, God is forming a people for himself and his mission.
