Orphan’s Lifeline of Hope International Update

The Following is a note we received from our partners in ministry at Orphan’s Lifeline International:

We are so thankful that your congregation is sponsoring Jeramie from the Amazing Grace Orphanage. In case you didn’t receive the email we sent out, we do have a Facebook group page for the Amazing Grace Orphanage. It’s a closed group, open only to those who support the home or a child from the home. Therefore, you and members of your congregation are welcome to join this group. We will be posting photos and updates there on this home as we receive them in this group page. You can join by going to OLI Friends of Amazing Grace Home, Philippines”, Orphan’s Lifeline Facebook Group. If you want to see photos of the children at Amazing Grace Orphanage, (perhaps see the child you support in some of the photos), see updates on what is happening there, you should join this group, and each of your members are welcome to join, too. If anyone has trouble joining, they can let me know. Perhaps you can announce this option in your bulletin.

On one post in this group page, (September 27), you can see a special need request from Phoebe, the director. She needs a computer and camera to help her when she has to make her monthly reports to us. She has always had to go to an internet café to do so, and those computers are not real secure, and it is also very inconvenient for her to take the time to travel to one. If your congregation is interested in helping with this need, be sure to mark your donation that it’s for the computer and camera, and not for your monthly support.

It takes a lot of work to maintain the group pages for each of our orphan homes, so those that have little if any interest from donors may have to be discontinued. We would hate to see that happen, and we hope that many people will join. We want them to be convenient to our donors so that they can see the photos and updates as we receive them. Unfortunately, updates on the child you sponsor will not be put on the group page, but will come to you from our offices every 6 months.
