Next-Gen Minister Search
New Lisbon Christian Church is seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Minister to oversee ministry from 6th to 12th grade. This part-time position provides a unique opportunity to disciple the next generation, equip families, and build thriving a student ministries.
Position Overview
This leader will cultivate an environment where students can develop friendships, grow in their understanding of Jesus, and become lifelong followers of Christ. The Youth Minister will partner with parents and church leadership to help students mature spiritually and integrate into the life of the church.
Oversee the Youth Ministry: Impact Student Ministries
“Impact Student Ministry” Top Priorities:
- Discipleship - Intentionally maturing in allegiance to Jesus.
- Leadership Development - preparing them to lead while following Jesus.
- Programming - plan, coordinate, and execute hospitable ministry events that foster spiritual formation.
- Partner with Parents - help them realize they are their child's primary spiritual leader.
- Pastoral Care - Invest in their lives.
- Collaboration with other Staff - be a team player.
Student Discipleship

Provide spiritual leadership for the church’s middle school and high school students (grades 6–12).

Teach and facilitate biblical instruction during youth gatherings, classes, or small groups.

Develop a discipleship pathway that helps students grow in faith and practice Christian living.

Encourage students to participate in the life of the broader church.
Youth Programming

Plan and lead weekly youth gatherings that include fellowship, worship, and biblical teaching.

Coordinate youth events such as retreats, conferences, service projects, and outreach activities.

Organize participation in regional youth opportunities (e.g., camps or conferences).
Leadership Development

Recruit, train, and support volunteer adult leaders for youth ministry.

Mentor students toward leadership roles within the youth group and church.
Parent Partnership

Communicate regularly with parents regarding youth activities and spiritual formation.

Equip parents to support the faith development of their students.
Pastoral Care and Outreach

Build relationships with students through consistent presence at church and youth events.

Maintain a welcoming environment where students can invite friends and feel connected.

Provide encouragement and pastoral care for students facing spiritual or personal challenges.
Collaboration
- New Lisbon church staff operates as a team. The Youth Minister would also be part of that team to participate in strategy and planning for church initiatives, events, and special services.
- Participate and engage in staff meetings on Mondays.
- Work alongside the Lead Pastor, elders, and ministry leaders to support the church’s mission of “Love God, Love Others, Make Disciples.”
Qualifications
A strong personal faith in Jesus Christ and a calling to next-gen ministry.
Experience working with students, and families in a ministry setting.
Ability to lead and equip volunteers.
Strong communication, organizational, and relational skills.
A commitment to biblical teaching and discipleship.
Agreeing to uphold the Teachings and Beliefs of New Lisbon CC.
Compensation & Benefits
Part-time position with flexible office hours. Can Negotiate hours.
Competative Salary will be negotiated based on experience and education.
